Pigeon Control in Bromsgrove, Redditch and South Birmingham

Pest Control ServicePigeon Control

DR.KILL specialise in pigeon removal and undertake pigeon proofing for domestic and commercial clients. Our fully trained and accredited pest control operatives supply a pigeon control and pigeon extermination service in the areas of Bromsgrove, Redditch and South Birmingham, with a guarantee of NO KILL NO BILL.

Pigeons are an active, year-round pest that make themselves at home in a variety of places which are less than ideal for home and business owners. Pigeons are problematic in urban areas because there are so many people and buildings to take advantage of. The more food and shelter available, the more pigeons will flock to an area.

DR.KILL aims to provide a reliable solution for each individual pigeon problem we deal with. In addition to population extermination and the removal of pigeon nests, there are a variety of ways to bird-proof a home or business to ensure pigeons are no longer a problem. Talk to one of our team today about pigeon control and proofing options.

Pigeon Identification

  • Pigeons are a very common pest bird, especially in urban areas. Often referred to as “rats with wings” pigeons are technically domesticated birds, but many have escaped and created large wild populations.
  • Pigeons are about 33cm in length and on average weigh approx 350g.
  • Pigeons have a light grey body with a darker grey head, shoulders, and breast. They also have two identifying dark bars going across their wings and tail.
  • There are no visible differences between the sexes.

Pigeon Habitat & Breeding

  • Found worldwide, the feral or town pigeon is closely associated with humans and is a common sight in urban environments.
  • Feral pigeons build their nests in or on buildings and other structures, where they are usually found on ledges or in hollows often under eaves or on girders.
  • Since some feral pigeons are capable of breeding throughout the year, nests may be found in any month. The peak occurs between March and July.
  • Usually, two white eggs are laid on consecutive days. A new clutch can be laid when the first young are 20 days old.
