Silverfish Control in Bromsgrove, Redditch and South Birmingham

Pest Control ServiceSilverfish Control

DR.KILL undertake silverfish treatments and specialise in silverfish extermination for domestic and commercial clients. Our fully trained and accredited pest control operatives supply a silverfish control and silverfish removal service in the areas of Bromsgrove, Redditch and South Birmingham, with a guarantee of NO KILL NO BILL.

Silverfish eat books, stacks of paper, bills, wallpaper, and so on. The first sign of a silverfish infestation can be holes in clothes or books. Silverfish can be difficult to eliminate and so irritating because they have such a flexible diet. Silverfish can be found nearly anywhere in the house, eating food and possessions alike.

Silverfish can be very difficult to prevent, because they don't discriminate by location or food. They are immune to most forms of insect poison, which also makes them hard to exterminate. However, DR.KILL is available to help, with a friendly silverfish control and removal service at your home or commercial premises.

Silverfish Identification

  • Minus their antennas and appendages, silverfish are approximately one-half inch to one full inch in length.
  • The antennas and tail can be nearly as long as the body itself. Altogether, some silverfish are nearly two inches long.
  • Silverfish are slender and lithe. They have a wide head and abdomen plus a narrow, pointed back end. They are covered in silvery scales producing a white glistening appearance.
  • Silverfish are wingless with six legs, three distinctive thin bristly tails and long thin antennae.

Silverfish Habitat & Breeding

  • Silverfish prefer dark and moist environments. Basements, kitchens, sinks, baths, bookcases, shelves, wall voids, etc

  • Silverfishfish have one self defense mechanism which is their ability to run very fast.
  • Silverfish can lay eggs at any time during the year. Females can lay up to 20 eggs per day. The eggs take 19 to 43 days to hatch.
